Description: A very interesting Paul Barth designed single pick-up 6 string. Built by Magnatone in California after Barth left Rickenbacker and it shows.  A little Capri, a little 440, she’s very lightweight with an almost chambered body due to the heavily routed construction technique. She has a fiberglass pick guard, a zero fret, and a remarkably hot AlNiCo V single coil pick-up also of Barth’s design. 3-on-a-strip slot top tuners that look like Klusons but are not branded as such. Thin, fast neck shows some minor fret ware at frets 10/11/12 on the high “E”. Odd place for it but there you go. Body has some small dings from 50 plus years on the planet but is really in remarkable shape. The case is a little beat, with one side of the handle unattached. Ah Cardboard. But still, they sure were making great guitars in Cali back in the day.
