Description: Originally designed by Luthier Bob McNally and manufactured by Martin in its Navojoa Mexico factory, these tiny light-weight travel guitars became quite popular after their 1994 NAMM launch. They became even more popular a few months later when American astronaut Pierre Thuot took one up on the space shuttle with him. This example, an older model with the smaller headstock and the Martin logo between the fret board and the sound hole, has a small crack in the top above her bridge. She shows no fret wear and very little in the way of dings and scratches. We don’t think she ever actually travelled much. She is easy to play and sounds better than you would think possible. Just ask Bill Frisell. She will ship in her original Martin branded gig bag.
